I run BungeeMC. It is public: a PvP survival server for up to 50 players with an adventurers' guild and its dungeons, a creative plot world and a OneBlock world, all reached from a sky hub where everyone arrives. Java and Bedrock share one world at one address.
The old address, mc.bungeetaco.com, still works in either edition.
The server runs 26.2. I have tested joining from 1.21.11, 26.1, 26.2 and 26.3.
The first time you join, the server checks your connection for a few seconds, then asks you to join again. That only happens once.
Survival needs its own resource pack for its custom gear, menus and dungeon music. Accept it when asked: it is about 17 MB and downloads once. If your server entry has resource packs turned off, survival sends you back to the hub. Edit the server, set Server Resource Packs to Enabled or Prompt, and come back.
Older versions are untested. For far-away terrain, the hub's sky and voice chat, see Mods for Java.
If you play on Java and on Bedrock, link the two at link.geysermc.org. Linked accounts share one profile here: the same inventory and the same position, whichever edition you log in from.
This is optional. Unlinked, each edition is its own player.
Everyone arrives in the Sky Dome, an island in the sky. Nobody gets hurt here, and if you fall off you are caught and put back.
Walk into a gate to travel: east to survival, south to creative, west to the Adventurers' Guild and north to OneBlock. Coloured paths lead to each gate, and the label above it shows how many players are there.
The compass in your hotbar does the same from a menu. Next to it are your profile and stats, the leaderboards, your settings and a guide with the rules and commands. /spawn brings you back here from any server.
On Java, the hub offers a small pack that hides the health and hunger bars while you are here. You can turn it off in Settings.
A fresh world on a new seed, difficulty normal. The border is 10,000 by 10,000 blocks around spawn, and up to 50 players can be on at once.
Eleven skills, from mining and farming to archery and alchemy, level up as you play, to level 100 each. /skills shows yours.
Coins are the money here and in creative: /balance, /pay and /baltop. You start with 100, and elite mobs drop more.
Anyone can open a chest shop. Hold the item you want to sell, left-click your chest and type a price in chat. A shop costs nothing to set up and only you can open its chest. Each sale pays 5% tax, and changing a price later costs 50 coins.
Leaderboards for the richest players, PvP kills, hours played and skill power stand in the survival arrival hall and in the hub.
Break one log with an axe and the whole tree comes down; /atc turns that off. The overworld, the nether and the End hide extra structures, some guarded by bosses.
The live map shows the world and everyone online, where they are, as they move.
Spawn is a safe zone: no PvP and no building there. Everywhere else, PvP is on, and a kill takes 5% of the other player's coins.
New players get 10 minutes of protection; /newbie disable ends it early. A fight starts a 15-second combat tag; log out while tagged and you die.
Obvious cheats, like hitting from too far away, kick you automatically. Anything else suspicious is flagged for me to review, and every block players place or break is logged, so griefing can be rolled back.
Claim land with a golden shovel. Nobody else can build, break or open your chests inside your claim. PvP still works inside it.
Set up to ten homes with /sethome and go back with /home. /tpa asks to teleport to a player. /rtp drops you somewhere random in the overworld, once every 10 minutes. /worldspawn takes you back to this world's spawn and /spawn to the sky hub. Teleports take 5 seconds; moving or getting hurt cancels them.
When you die, your items go into a grave where you fell. A grave lasts 3 hours and anyone can open it, so go back for it quickly.
The Guild is part of survival. Get there through the hub's west gate, the compass, /ag on survival, or the portal next to survival's spawn. Its Survival Spawn portal takes you back.
Its teleporters lead to 18 dungeons, from ten story dungeons to the Binder of Worlds at level 100. Each group gets its own copy of a dungeon.
Casus gets you started with a few quests, Manager Wallitz has ten story quests, and Qel'Thuzad hands out new ones as your guild rank rises.
Trainers teach five classes: Adventurer, Berserker, Cleric, Paladin and Ranger. Smiths, a repairman, an enchanter, a scrapper and a barkeep work there too, and the gambling den plays for real coins.
Out in the survival world, about one mob in twenty is an elite, up to level 120, with better loot.
In the Guild and its dungeons you keep your items when you die, and there is no PvP.
Walk into the hub's north gate. On your first visit you wait 3 seconds on a platform, then you get your own island: one block in the sky that comes back every time you break it.
Each block you break moves you on through 21 phases, from Plains and Underground to the Nether, the End and Cherry Grove, then round again.
/ob takes you to your island and /ob phases lists the phases. /ob level and /ob top rank the islands, /ob visit lets you look around other islands, /ob team adds up to three friends, and /ob border shows your island's edge.
Only your team can build on your island, there is no PvP, and /spawn brings you back to the hub.
A plot world for building. /plot auto gives you your own plot of 128 by 128 blocks, /plot home takes you back to it, and only you and the friends you add can build there. WorldEdit works on your plots, and heads are free.
You get two plots. More cost survival coins: /plotpermit buy on survival, from 1,000 coins.
The compass in your hotbar takes you to the hub, to survival, to your plot or to a new one.
Every server runs Simple Voice Chat. On Java, install the Simple Voice Chat mod for your loader and your game version, or use the pack on the next page. You hear players within 48 blocks, whispers reach 24, and groups let friends talk from anywhere.
Recording is allowed: anyone with the mod can save what they hear in voice chat.
This pack is optional. It adds what the server sends that plain Minecraft cannot show: far-away terrain, the hub's living sky and voice chat, with faster performance on top. It is Fabulously Optimized for Minecraft 26.3, plus Distant Horizons, Simple Voice Chat and a small fix of mine that keeps Distant Horizons steady when you switch servers.
